Fran Watson Receives the Endorsement of HESP Local 6315
HOUSTON, TX - Fran Watson, candidate for Texas State Senate, District 17, Thursday received the endorsement of the Houston Educational Support Personnel, HESP Local 6315.
HESP Local 6315 is a large and strong blue-collar union focused on fighting for the rights of the working poor in Houston Independent School District- food service workers, custodians, groundskeepers, aids, and other personnel. Under the leadership of President Wretha Thomas, HESP Local 6315 was able to get the first policy passed to protect against workplace bullying.
"I am honored to receive HESP’s endorsement. I come from a family of blue collar workers and it fills me with pride to have the support of those who are organizing on the ground to provide representation and protections for workers who provide support for schools in ways that are often not talked about. These are the People First values in which I align myself. Thank you for your service to our public schools.
