Environmental Justice

All Texans should share the same benefits and risks with respect to health, safety, and the environment.   Because community members are stakeholders, they should have a say in what those protections look like.

A child in a low-income neighborhood should not be more susceptible to developing cancer because a hazardous plant opened within two miles of said neighborhood and the community members did not have any input on the opening of the plant.

Texas leaders must be a voice to ensure not only safety standards are met when it comes to protecting all communities, but that communities are at the table when these decisions regarding health and safety are made.

Fran will work alongside the community on environmental policies so their concerns do not fall through the cracks.
